‘National needs be met thru protection, utilisation and development of constitution’

Gandaki, Sept 19, Chief Minister of Gandaki State, Prithvi Subba Gurung has said further institutionalising and strengthening the federal democratic republic governance system while at the same time defending, utilising and developing the constitution for fulfilling the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ is the present need.

Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of the Constitution Day today, he said this day when the constitution, framed by the people’s representatives following the struggle of the Nepali people marked by sacrifices, was declared, is written in golden letters as an important day of the age in the political and constitutional history of Nepal.

Chief Minister Gurung said institutionalisation of the fundamental rights of the people, guaranteeing of inclusive and participatory democracy with social justice, providing for federal, democratic governance system and ensuring a socialism-oriented state system are the unique and significant achievements of the Nepali revolution.

“The Constitution of Nepal has guaranteed federalism, secularism, inclusion, proportional representation as well as the rights of people of all classes and sections and regions,” CM Gurung stated. RSS
